Bad service. She didn't write anything down so it is no surprise that out order came out wrong. And cold. We also asked three times for drinks and had to flag down a busboy for refills after sending our food back. It was a Sunday but the Rush was over and half the tables were open. I'm still sitting here with an empty glass waiting for our check. My food still came out wrong but I don't even have time to wait for them to re make it, I already had to get it in a to go box because this took so long.

I used to come to IHOP with my friends in high school almost every week. We loved it there and we always felt at home. I don't know what happened, but in the last couple of years this place has really gone down the drain. The servers are split-half are really friendly and helpful, while the others don't seem to care about being there at all. It's always freezing. They claim they're open 24 hours but the hours seem to always be changing. I've called in to ask questions before and received very rude responses. The food even isn't up to its usual standard anymore. I used to have great memories coming here, but now I avoid it completely. There are plenty of other breakfast places that are consistent with their service.

We have been to this IHOP a few times. The food is good, inexpensive but the service leaves something to be desired. We always wait at the front for like five minutes to be seated. There are never any people in the front to attend to customers. We are seated and we order. I order the skillet with pancakes, and my family order the combo. The combo is scrambled eggs, hash browns, with a choice of french toast. The food comes pretty quick. The skillet has eggs, potatoes, cheese, and vegetables. The eggs are nice and fluffy. The potatoes are crispy and the vegetables are tasty. Everything is nicely seasoned and well made. My family members enjoyed their eggs and potatoes. However, they did not want the french toast because it was covered in syrup and whipped cream. They tried to send it back but got an attitude from the waitress. She argued that this is how it comes so you have to accept it. My family members simply wanted the french toast without any syrup on it. They got to send it back though, and got a new french toast without syrup. The total for all three of us was 30 dollars. We all had a filling breakfast for 10 dollars. I recommend this place for the food, but not for the service.

Our server(s) did a GREAT job of taking care of us. And the food was typical IHOP fare. At first glance it appeared clean but once we were able to take a closer look we discovered differently. When we were seated in our booth, I noticed an unusual smell that I couldn't recognize. The smell remained through the meal. When I finished eating, I kind of leaned up against the partition between our booth and the booth next to us to stretch and relax a bit. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! Once I shifted position, that unusual smell became (and to quote Vincent Price from Micheal Jackson's Thriller) : "The foulest stench is in the air, the funk of forty thousand years" This smell after eating a large meal almost resulted in immediate projectile vomiting. I tried to pinpoint the source of the source of the odor and then I looked down and noticed the gap between my booth and the partition. and noticed a massive amount of stuff that has fallen in this. I wonder how long food has been decaying down there??? On second though I really don't want to know. I wonder if they cleaned it up yet? I am NOT going back to find out.

I really like this place, its definitely a family restaurant. The food is good and good customer service. I used to come on Monday nights to get homework done as well as get a quick bite. I really like the Philly cheesesteak sandwich or the tilapia dinner.

I have been here twice recently. Other reviewers said it all. The service SUCKS. Today I took my two young boys out to brunch after church. It was busy, which is to be expected on a Sunday morning. We put our names in and waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. Once we were seated, we became invisible. After about 10 minutes of no one coming to our table, I flagged down the woman who had seated us (hostess? manager?). She found another server from another section to help us. Because we had been waiting for so long, we were ready to order as soon as she came over. She promised to put our food order in right away and then come back with our drinks. I bet you can guess what happened next! Another 10 minutes goes by and NO DRINKS! At this point I'm in serious need of caffeine! I flag down the hostess again & she finds our server to bring us our drinks. A few minutes later, our food comes out. I'm sorry, but the pancakes just aren't as good as they used to be. Server tried to clear my plate that still had food on it--I told her no, I needed a box. Guess what never came? You guessed it--a box!!! Flag down the hostess for the THIRD time. I got my bill and nothing was comped for the lack of service. I got up to pay and the hostess was at the register. I asked her what she was going to do for me since I had so much trouble. Mind you--I was never rude, never angry, always polite to everyone even though we were being ignored. She says to me "I will take your coffee off." Wow. A $2.19 discount. Good thing she took that off, cuz their coffee is HORRIBLE. At that point, it wasn't worth arguing with her. Honestly, this became a comedy of errors and all I could do was laugh. But I can guarantee you one thing--I will NEVER be returning to this location. They have a VERY OBVIOUS management problem and it permeates the entire operation.

I have visited this IHOP 3x (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Same experience everytime. Whether you dine there during their peak hours or slow hours, they always appear to be under staffed. The food takes too long to be served. And they are never able to serve my table of 7 at the same time. By the time most of us are done eating, the remaining entrees arrive. The food is OK at best...c'mon, we're talking about IHOP. The service can make or break these types of restaurants. This particular restaurant needs major service improvement. Their Crestwood, LaGrange, and Cicero counterparts have great service. You would expect good service at this IHOP since it's in Orland Park. Never again will I dine at this IHOP. 3 stikes they're OUT!

We came here to meet my brother-in-law for his birthday dinner after his "mini" shopping spree at the Armani exchange. It was maybe 17 of us and they were slow and the manager did not know hot to handle a crowd of our size. The crazy thing is we were basically the only ones in the place. The food was not fresh tasting or even hot when we got it and their fountain drinks were flat as a roof top. I won't be coming back, but at least my daughter was able to eat for free( only for July).

I went here with my fiance and her friend. I haven't been here in a long time, so I figured it would be a nice change of atmosphere from my "Old Reliable" breakfast place, Cafe Miele. It took a while for the waitress to get to us, due to it being packed. But she was pretty cool. Not a really excited person that I like waitresses to be, but she was good. If my memory serves me correctly (and the voice of Chairman Kaga of the original "Iron Chef" echos in my head), I got the Cinnamon Roll pancake, which was pretty AWESOME! Fiance had the Cheesecake Pancake We both also shared some turkey bacon, which she tried for the first time...and liked. I was going to give this place 3-stars...but I forgot what it would have done for me to give it a low score. It met and exceeded my expectations for a major breakfast restaurant chain... I guess that's why so many people come to eat there...

2 stars only because the waitress was ok and my wife's meal was good. I ordered the Hearty Ham N Cheese omelet that was anything but hearty, actually was room temp and bland. I asked the Manager for a comp. and he was very impolite and only offered half off, since I ate half of the omelet. I didn't eat half, but the amount I did eat I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt that it would get better... it didn't. I guess I should have eaten the whole thing to get the whole thing comp'd. I will never go back and will tell everyone I know not to go there. The old cliche tell 1 person something good and tell 10 people something bad. In this case, I'll tell thousands. Thanks to YELP and Facebook.

I came here Xmas eve night with my cousins. It was very late and our server was the sweetest gal. With such a large group (some of us didn't speak English), she was patient, bubbly, and fun. Servers like her really makes my day. As for the food, not bad. I love their pancakes and eggs. I tried their desert-like coffee and it definitely was indeed, desert!

They aren't called international house of waffles for a reason. Tasted exactly like a microwaved Eggo, plus it was cold by the time I got it. The kitchen staff was having a party while making our food, at least it sounded that way. Maybe if they just focused on cooking, it wouldn't have taken over 45 minutes to get our meals.

Yes, I am going to rant a little here. I don't care if I sound crass or crotchety, but sometimes things need to be addressed, and my experience here was less than stellar. I came in here with my father in between the breakfast and lunch crowds on a Saturday morning. There were maybe about 15 tables with customers, all clustered in one area while the rest of the seating lay dormant. Well, it would not have bothered me so much, if it were not for the woman with the three screaming children running rampant from their table to ours. I tried to ignore it, but couldn't. While we were waiting for our food, I asked our server if we could switch to a location further away from the brats, errr, I mean kids. You would have thought I asked for blood. The waitress told us no, we could not move our seats, because we had already placed our order. I don't understand that thinking. So instead of making a scene, we promptly got up, paid for our coffees we had, and left. Not worth the headache.

Haven't been here in a while. The service is absolutely terrible. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the greeter and a waiter arguing ever not seating new guests in his area. I used to try and take my family out for breakfast at least once a month and would choose between Denny's and ihop, I use gift cards that I buy through my sons school, so there are plenty of breakfast options. The first time we tried to use our paper gift card, the manager had a difficult time getting it to go thru, I was at the register for almost 20 mins while they tried and was very embarrassed. We came back a month later and once again paid with an egift card, this time the same manager said that the franchisee would not allow her to accept the corporate egift card, she said the franchisees exact words were its his business so he will accept what he wants to. After much more time wasted, a lot more embarrassment, and finally getting stuck paying with another form of payment, my family and I left. I contacted both the gift card service that works with ihop and ihop's corporate office via phone and email. I was able to get reimbursed for my gift card and received an apology from corporate for their franchisee going rogue, but the damage has been done as far as I'm concerned. I said I would never be back there and I haven't been. There are far better restaurant choices for breakfast that will accept their gift cards, whether they are egift cards or plastic. The problems this place is having clearly start with the franchisee and roll down. Other reviewers are correct, they are not the most attentive or clean, but when they also rewrite the corporate guidelines, there is a problem.

I went here for a now deal from groupon $7 for $14 worth of food, great deal. It's your average breakfast spot, nothing special. I like that they have free wi-fi and it's right across the street from Orland square mall. The waiter was nice and prompt and I was greeted at the door. The place is quiet and we were sitting near the kitchen and I hardly heard a word, no dishes banging or anything. It's 24 hours, the only thing I didn't like was that the place seemed cleaned, but once you really look around I started noticing dirt here and there, they had dirt on the pictures hanging on the walls above our food, which really grossed me out. I won't be coming back here no matter how good of a deal it is.

Stop-there is an Original Pancake House a block down the road, there is no need to eat at IHop. Which we tried to do today, but ended up walking out with having even getting a glass of water or having our order taken. Did aliens abduct our waitress?! No, cause hubby saw her at other tables, caught her eye, an she still didn't come over. By the time we were in our car leaving, we could see her at our table through the window. No one asked us if we needed anything, if everything was ok, nothing. Guess they have a lot of people walk out, so they don't make a big deal about it.
